Q1)   Mr. Raina, you essentially spend each day of the week discussing EVs with customers, how has the perception around EVs changed?

A1)   - Over the past few years, I've noticed a significant shift in consumer perception towards Electric Vehicles (EVs). Gone are the days when range anxiety, charging inconveniences, high up-front costs, and battery safety concerns dominated the narrative. These issues have been largely alleviated, particularly in Tier 1 cities where EV adoption is thriving.Today's EV customer is more informed, savvy, and pragmatic. They've moved beyond misconceptions and myths surrounding EVs and now appreciate the benefits of owning an EV. With the rapid expansion of EV infrastructure and advancements in technology, consumers are recognising the value proposition of EVs, including lower operating costs, reduced environmental impact, and enhanced performance.

The evolving customer profile is a testament to the maturing EV market in India. As awareness and education continue to spread, I'm optimistic that EV adoption will accelerate, driving a sustainable transportation revolution in the country.

Q2)   The MG Windsor has been remarkably well-received by the market, what are people enjoying so much about the new vehicle?

A2)   - The MG Windsor's phenomenal market reception comes as no surprise. What's not to love? Its cutting-edge infotainment system, ultra-luxurious seating with 135-degree reclining rear seats, and stunning infinity view glass-roof create a business-class flight ambiance. The unmatched upfront price of ₹15.5 lakhs, reducible to ₹9.99 lakhs with the innovative Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) program, seals the deal. People simply want the best their money can afford, no car at this moment can compete with the Windsor in terms of luxury and technology within a similar price range. The Windsor masterfully addresses previous EV concerns, offering an unparalleled driving experience. Its opulent features, seamless technology, and exceptional value proposition have captivated buyers, redefining the electric vehicle landscape in India.

Q3)  You mentioned EV buyers now find EVs to be exceedingly convenient and cost effective, but what’s driving this in your opinion?

A3)   - Several key factors drive the convenience and cost-effectiveness of Electric Vehicles (EVs). Innovative apps like E-hub revolutionise the charging experience, allowing users to effortlessly locate and utilise chargers with just a few clicks on their phone. This seamless integration is bolstered by the modern, technologically equipped world's readiness to welcome EVs with the right infrastructure and mindset.

Initiatives like Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) significantly reduce EV costs, making them even more competitive than their ICE counterparts. Coupled with the inherent benefits of sustainability, superior technology, and the modernity associated with EV ownership, these advancements create a compelling proposition.

The convergence of these factors has created a perfect storm, positioning EVs for widespread adoption and ultimately, market dominance. As the EV ecosystem continues to evolve, I'm optimistic that we'll witness accelerated growth, transforming the transportation landscape and paving the way for a sustainable future.
